DAHI VADA

urad daal
dahi
Ingredients
for vada-
1 cup urad daal
(soaked overnight)
1- 2 chopped green
chillies
chopped dryfruits( cashewnuts,
almonds, raisins)
salt to taste
oil for frying
for dahi-
1 kg dahi(yoghurt)
1/2 tsp ginger
salt to taste
1 tsp chaat masala
2 tsp cumin powder
red chilli powder to
taste
sugar to taste
preparation-
For Vada - Clean, wash
and soak the daal overnight.
Grind it into smooth
paste.
Add salt to taste.add
green chillies and dryfruits as per taste.
Heat oil in a pan and
drop a spoonfuls of batter and fry till golden brown.
Take the hot vadas and
put in cold water for 2 minutes.
Now Take them out of
water and squeeze the water and keep aside.
For Dahi - Blend the
curd (yogurt) and little water until it is smooth.
Keep in refrigerator
for an hour to get chilled.
Add salt,sugar,grated
ginger, red chili powder, cumin powder and chaat masala.Mix it well.Add some
dryfruits in dahi as well.
serving-
Arrange the vada's in
a deep dish.Pour the chilled dahi over it.Garnish it with red chilli powder and
cumin powder.Serve dahi vadas chilled.
